As the President and CEO of Siemens Canada, Robert Hardt was responsible for the overall strategic management, direction and leadership for all activities in Canada.

Robert is a proven and dedicated leader with a successful history at Siemens. Prior to being appointed President and CEO in January 2012, he held several senior management positions within Siemens Canada since joining in 2007. Robert is an electrical engineer and began his career with Siemens AG Germany in 1988. Early in his career he was a project engineer and project manager and led several engineering and project management teams for large industrial projects. Prior to moving to Canada, Robert was responsible for the global Mining business and later for the global Air Cargo Logistics business at Siemens’ headquarters in Germany.

Robert is a seasoned engineering expert and is a regular contributor on the manufacturing and technology dialogue in national media and through speaking engagements. He is passionate about fostering the engineering profession and skills education in Canada by building strong collaboration networks between industry and educational institutions.
