Education Plenary Session Delegate Speaker Application 2013

How can we teach tomorrow’s skills today? Education systems are at a crossroads. Policy-makers and educators are wrestling with how to meet the changing requirements of today’s employment landscape. At the same time, progress in getting every child in school is at a standstill with 57m children still denied the right to a basic education. The Education Plenary Session will explore ways that technology and new schooling methods can improve access to basic education and better equip young people for life. One Young World 2013 Plenary Consultation Less than half believe today’s education equips students for future employment. A huge majority (87%) think vocational studies should be better incorporated into the educational system. Poverty, corruption and inefficiency are the top three factors that most hinder access to education.
