Global Disability Youth Summit 2022 (GDS Youth)

GDS Youth

The Global Disability Youth Summit (GDS Youth) is the world's first summit for youth with disabilities led by youth with disabilities. The summit is being co-hosted by the International Disability Alliance, UNICEF, and the Atlas Alliance represented by Youth Mental Health Norway, and will provide an opportunity for youth with disabilities to discuss the issues that are important in their lives. A Youth Charter for Change - summing up the challenges and commitments youth with disabilities are highlighting globally - will be presented at the Global Disability Summit.

Youth with disabilities - starting in the Pacific, then to Latin America, through Asia to Europe, via the Middle East, and onto Africa - will raise the ideas and concerns of the estimated 200 million youth with disabilities including teenagers and young adults from all over the world. Their voices combined will draw attention to the topics that are most important to youth with disabilities.
