Calling all One Young World Ambassadors in the North Africa region! We would like to invite you to attend the 2nd Families Against Terrorism and Extremism (FATE) Summit to take place in Tunis, Tunisia. One Young World has focused extensively on extremism in Peace and Security sessions at recent summits, and FATE agrees that countering this global phenomenon is a generational challenge.

Families Against Terrorism and Extremism (FATE) was established in March 2016 to create a support network to share ideas, experiences and resources around protecting and empowering families against terrorism and radicalisation. The first FATE Summit, held in Paris in March 2016, brought together over 80 CSO representatives and countering violent extremism (CVE) practitioners to explore the role families can play in protecting their communities against extremism.

With a strong and active network across Europe, FATE is now in a position to broaden its work in the Middle East and North Africa region. Convening its second Summit in Tunisia in November 2016, FATE hopes to build a global movement that strengthens families' resilience against the radicalization process and provide them with the support they need when impacted by acts of violent terrorism.

The FATE Tunis Summit will take place at The Residence Hotel from Sunday 13th to Wednesday 16th November 2016. You can explore the hotel here: http://cenizaro.com/theresidence/tunis
