One Young World Ambassadors Leading for the Global Goals

In September 2015, 193 world leaders adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals, also known as the Global Goals, to build a better world by 2030. The 2030 Agenda is a universal call to action to end extreme poverty, promote economic growth, protect the environment and ensure people from all countries around the world can live in a peaceful society.

While considerable progress has been made since 2015, the latest Sustainable Development Goals Report found that pace of progress must accelerate to achieve the SDGs by their expiry date. The 2030 Agenda is everyone’s business. Governments, private sector and civil society have all committed to it, but it’s our duty to make sure they stick with it.

OYW are leading by example, working towards the Global Goals across the world. From gender equality and poverty alleviation, to climate action and peace building, One Young World Ambassadors are working to address the 17 Global Goals in more than 190 countries. To date, 14.6 million people have been positively impacted by One Young World Ambassador-led initiatives.
