We'll be addressing the issue of orphanage volunteering and violence done to children in alternative care.

About

At the One Young World (OYW) 2019 Summit, JK Rowling - OYW Counsellor and Founder of Lumos Foundation - launched the #HelpingnotHelping Campaign. This campaign aims to challenge the norm around Orphanage Tourism, or "Voluntourism".

This event aims to serve as a learning experience for students to get informed and learn about global efforts around this issue. You will have the chance to listen to experts on this topic and learn about the different ways to channel resources to alternatives that are not harmful to children.
