About the Scholarship
One Young World is proud to have brought its Summit to Belfast in 2023 and was honoured to have been recognised by both the City of Belfast and the UK Government as an official part of the celebrations surrounding the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement. Recognising the historic significance of the Summit, One Young World hosted a series of discussions reflecting on the Troubles and the Good Friday Agreement as well as looking forward to the future of Northern Ireland.
To build on the momentum generated by the historic 2023 Summit, the Belfast Legacy Award was first launched in 2024 to help support young leaders from across Northern Ireland making a tangible impact in their communities. We are excited to be launching the Award for a second year, alongside Belfast City Council, to provide the opportunity for five individuals living and/or making an impact in Belfast to attend the One Young World Summit 2025 in Munich, Germany from 3-6 November.
