
About the Scholarship
One Young World is excited to collaborate with IKEA Social Entrepreneurship to offer scholarships to inspiring young social entrepreneurs to attend this year’s One Young World Summit 2025 in Munich, Germany.
In line with IKEA Social Entrepreneurship's objectives, this scholarship is intended for social entrepreneurs working towards a sustainable future where everyone is seen and heard – challenging the root causes of poverty, exclusion, and inequality.
Why apply?
You’ll join IKEA’s global delegation taking part in the One Young World Summit 2025, where you’ll have the opportunity to hear from and be heard by sustainability leaders, and build useful connections with a global audience for your projects and your work.
You’ll also get permanent membership of the One Young World Ambassador community — a global community of 20,000+ activists, humanitarians, world-leaders, business-leaders, thought-leaders, entrepreneurs, politicians and innovators.
What will you receive?
- Full access to the One Young World Summit 2025 in Munich from 3 - 6 November.
- Return air travel from your home country to Munich (flights in economy only).
- Hotel accommodation in a private room in Munich, checking in on 2 November and checking out on 7 November.
- Catering which includes: breakfast, and dinner on 3 November, breakfast lunch and dinner from 4 – 6 November; and breakfast only on 7 November.
- Lifelong membership of the One Young World Ambassador Community.
- Letters of invitation from One Young World to support a Schengen visa application (if required).
Eligibility & Criteria
Candidates must:
- Be aged between 18 – 30*.
- Be the founder or co-founder of a social business/enterprise.
- Operate in Chile, Colombia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Poland or Romania.
- Be able to communicate and engage in English.
- Be actively engaged as an entrepreneur in the fields of inclusive circularity, inclusive employment, and inclusive agriculture and food.
- Demonstrate commitment to creating a positive impact through (social) entrepreneurship in their communities.
- Demonstrate proven leadership ability (role models) in their communities.
- Demonstrate a concern for local and/or global issues.
- Nationals of all countries can apply for this scholarship.
*Most delegates are between the ages of 18 and 30. The One Young World team will consider applications from those who are older than 30, pending demonstration of appropriate personal impact, initiative, and willingness to engage. We are not able to accept applications from those who will be aged under 18 at the time of the Summit.
