Nasreen Sheikh is an international speaker and advocate for global human rights. Born in an undocumented rural village in India border with Nepal. Nasreen does not know her birthdate or exact age. She grew up believing that girls were simply commodities - not human beings - that are bought and traded as such. Risking everything to prove that freedom is an essential human right for everyone, Nasreen courageously spoke truth to power. At around the age of sixteen founded Local Women’s Handicrafts, a successful social enterprise empowering underserved women. She now leads a grassroots charity called Empowerment Collective with the goal of ending modern-day slavery by advocating 7 Keys for global human rights.
