Puja Verma

Puja is a Delegate Speaker for the 2015 Global Business Plenary Session. As the Project Director for a social entrepreneurship project in her college, she has led a team of 12 people to help 85 cycle rickshaw pullers and their families and provided them with a better livelihood. By using her business acumen, she managed to liaise with the different stakeholders, such as banks, hospitals and local authorities to make the project a success. She has also helped to create other social entrepreneurship projects involving the local puppeteer community, human waste scavengers and girls rescued from trafficking to empower them to build their own businesses. Puja, as the campus ambassador of “Teach for India” has played a key role in motivating young people to volunteer their efforts and to provide quality education for deprived children. She has continuously volunteered her services to teaching unemployed youth soft skills for interviews and written skills for applications.
