Unreasonable East Africa supports early stage entrepreneurs to tackle the region's greatest challenges. Each year, they match 10 - 15 carefully selected ventures from around East Africa with over 50 world class mentors. Mentors include serial entrepreneurs with $1 billion IPOs and social entrepreneurs who have lifted 760,000 people out of poverty.
The Unreasonable Launchpad
Unreasonable East Africa’s 2015 class of entrepreneurs will be taking the stage on the evening of 31 July 2015 at the Sheraton Hotel in Kampala, Uganda, to give 5-min TED talk style presentations on their work. These entrepreneurs are not running your everyday companies. They come from across the region; Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and South Sudan, are driven by both profit and meaningful impact and have dedicated their lives to building companies that are solving some of the biggest challenges we face in our time.
They range from a company that is utilizing mobile technology to drastically reduce child and maternal deaths to a company linking rural populations to additional revenue sources.
These companies are at the cutting edge of innovation, launching products and services that use sustainable business models to benefit the lives of millions of people in East Africa. The 2015 class will be joined by a select group of innovators that will be exhibiting their products.
