Who are we?
We are the global community for young leaders
One Young World is a global force dedicated to building a fair and sustainable future.
We develop the world’s most impactful young leaders - from every country, and every sector - to tackle the biggest issues facing humanity. World peace and prosperity depend on our leaders being held accountable, doing more, and doing better, for every community and ecosystem on our planet. Our name stands for bold and ambitious leadership embodied through the guiding ethical principles of our Leadership Charter. That’s why we have such a rigorous selection process for places in our Ambassador Community.
We develop our young Ambassadors in many ways, including; through our leadership programme, annual Summit, and events and opportunities and bespoke support service in response to our Community’s needs.
We are proud that Our community of Ambassadors, corporate partners, Counsellors and supporters are changing the world in ways that matter. For every $1 of value invested in One Young World Ambassador projects, our Ambassadors deliver $16 of social value.

Volunteering opportunities
As a One Young World volunteer, you will be required to be flexible in your willingness to tale on your assigned role, and you may be assigned to multiple roles throughout your placement. Your role will be allocated based on your availability provided in the application form as certain tasks will be taking place at various points throughout the Summit.

We cannot guarantee you will be allocated to a specific role based on your selected preference or skill set

We cannot guarantee you will remain in the same role throughout your placement

This application does not guarantee your place on the volunteer programme. You will be notified after your application has been submitted and reviewed as to your success. We are inundated with applications each year, and while we would love to accept everyone, unfortunately places are limited

It is important to note that throughout your placement we cannot guarantee you will be able to watch the Summit content. Some roles may be based off side and around various venues in Munich. If you are only interested in volunteering as a way of seeing certain speakers, please do not apply because you might be disappointed
Please note, this is an unpaid position. One Young World cannot pay for volunteers' flights or accommodation in Munich, or provide any visa support. You must be over 18 to apply.

Frequently Asked Questions
Applications close on October 1st. Allocations will take place immediately, and you will be notified by email.
Shift times will be organised based on your availability you shared in your application form.
If you add names of other volunteers who are attending, we will endeavor to accommodate your request.
You will be given t-shirts/tops to wear. We ask that you wear this with black trousers/skirt and shoes of your own.
Drinks refreshments and one meal during your shift will be provided for each Summit day.
