Why Apply to a One Young World Opportunity?

One Young World identifies, promotes and connects the world’s most impactful young leaders to create a better world with more responsible and effective leadership. Here's what makes it the global community for young leaders:

The annual One Young World Summit inspires and celebrates changemakers. Together, we raise the bar for what is possible to achieve as leaders, individually and collectively. Since 2010, One Young World Ambassadors have positively impacted 41.56 million people.

Diverse Community

One Young World is one of the most internationally diverse and cross-sector communities of young leaders, representing 196 countries. We are the most impactful network of young leaders amongst a few organisations representing as many countries as the Olympics.

Opportunities for all

One Young World provides scholarships for exceptional young people to attend the annual Summit in partnership with leading companies, governmental bodies, academic institutions and other non-governmental organisations.

One Young World is set apart through the interaction it facilitates between some of the world’s most well-renowned leaders, One Young World Counsellors, and the young leaders - yourselves.

Your voice matters

One Young World is a global community that is designed by young leaders for young leaders, ensuring that young people have the opportunity to devise solutions to the topics they care about most.

One Young World also promotes scholarships and programmes from these institutions to members of our community who wouldn't otherwise have the chance to apply.

Small Business & Startups

One Young World serves as a springboard for early stage businesses to launch into their next phase by equipping entrepreneurs with a network that enables them to grow, as well as offering a number of scholarships and programmes that will provide start ups with the tools necessary to grow.

One Young World partners with several governmental bodies to ensure that young people are involved in the issues that impact their country and communities most. These partnerships include the European Commission, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Government of Ecuador, and the City of Rotterdam.

One Young World has the largest corporate network of any charity - working with businesses to deliver real impact. Leading companies from every sector make One Young World an integral part of their global talent development, retention and attraction. Companies who have sent Delegates include AstraZeneca, Audi,  BMW, Chanel, Citigroup, Credit Suisse, Deloitte, Johnson & Johnson, L’Oréal, and Novartis, to name a few.

Non-Governmental Organisations

One Young World partners with NGOs globally to nominate individuals to attend the annual One Young World Summit and collaborate post-Summit to cross promote work.
