Workshop application 2019

Workshops provide One Young World Delegates with interactive, practical insights into the issues and topics they are most passionate about as well as actionable learning outcomes to help further their projects or initiatives.

We accept applications from any organisation that makes an impact at a local or global level. Selection is at the discretion of the One Young World workshop selection committee and cannot be not guaranteed.

One Young World 2019 Plenary topics:

  • Peaceful Future
    • In a polarised world how can we build peace?
  • Media Freedom
    • Media Freedom; how can we protect the truth?
  • Education
    • Does the future of learning need to be reimagined?
  • Poverty Alleviation
    • Can innovation solve economic inequality?
  • Planetary Health
    • Planetary Health; how is climate change endangering our health?

Workshops will take place at the QEII Centre during the networking lunches on October 23, 24, 25 and will last for 60 minutes.

Selection Criteria

One Young World will review and select applications solely based on merit. The Delegates' experience is our priority and we hope you agree.

We expect to receive a high number of applications this year, please note we will be operating on a competitive application process for a limited amount of places. Selection is at the selection committee's discretion.  

The selected workshops will be relevant to the Summit content and deliver instantly applicable techniques, ideas and/or processes. Previous workshops that received the best Delegate feedback were practical, interactive and/or scenario based in nature. This includes (but not limited to) role play, problem solving, challenge setting, solution sharing and brainstorming.

Application process

Deadline: 12pm BST, June 28, 2019. We will not accept applications after this date.  

If successful, a member of the One Young World team will be in contact to discuss the content and timing of your workshop. Please note that we may request amendments to your initial application.
