Abdi is a leading member of #Caawiwalaal and #Abaarha, two of the biggest anti-starvation campaigns in Somalia. The two complementary campaigns are largely voluntary-based and raised a huge amount of money from Somalis and non-Somalis alike through online fundraising campaigns. #Abaaraha maps and identifies where the need and gaps exist, whereas #Caawiwalaal implements the fund and distributes food and medicine to the affected community.
