Bakul Roy has co-founded an organisation that distributes books, pens and food to children in need in the local community. As well as this, the group distributes fruit trees to locals and encourage them to plant the trees and take care of them. They also encourage young people who are not in employment to set up their own businesses. As a nurse, Bakul also gives health education and family planning advice to people living in rural areas or in Dhaka slums. In the future she hopes to set up her own employment office and healthcare centre.
