Meet the Ambassador taking his work on tolerant societies across borders

Our Ambassador of the week is Francois Reyes, an Ambassador whose drive to promote positive change will soon be felt from both sides of the Atlantic.

Francois is currently the Managing Director of ‘Citizen’s Awakening’. The Switzerland-based think tank has already done great work to promote cultural tolerance and work against extremism institutions that encourage its believers to commit gross human rights violations. And with the recent Orlando LGBT shooting becoming the largest mass killing in U.S. history, there is no greater time for him to open an office in Montreal, Canada and further promote cultural tolerance in North America. He welcomes any Ambassador who is attending the upcoming summit in Ottawa, or any Ambassadors based in Canada to get in contact with his Canadian team to see how you can help. You can send a message here.

Meanwhile, back in Europe, Francois is scheduled to start working at the United Nations headquarters in Vienna next month. Francois will be working as an analyst against the illegal trafficking of drugs, weapons and humans for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. He’ll also be tasked with trying to find ways to reform the justice system in these particular areas. One Young World is very excited for Francois's incredible opportunity, so be sure to follow his experience at his twitter handle here.
