Coordinating Relief Campaign
Rae has been coordinating a relief campaign to transport clean water to residents in Kiribati. Residents on one of Kiribati's islands say they've been without fresh water for three months and have resorted to drinking, bathing and cooking with contaminated water from a small cave. Rae, director of the Kiribati Aoteroa Diaspora Directorate, has been a key coordinator in providing humanitarian relief.

Jasmine has been accepted to participate in the Black Leadership Academy’s Management Accelerator Program at McKinsey & Company. This is a 6-month accelerator program designed for high-performing, early-to mid-career managers who are aspiring to take the challenging leap into senior leadership.

Created Leading Sustainable Brand
Jacob's company CHNGE was featured on Good On You's latest piece suggesting sustainable, alternative brands to fast fashion companies. It was given the company's highest rating, listed as 'Great' on their sustainability scale.
Abeer Abu Ghaith
Launched Coding Initiative
Abeer and her team at MENA Alliances have launched the MENA Coding School program in Hebron and Gaza. It offers an eight-month scholarship to attend the full stack course. To be eligible, participants have to complete a self-paced online course that requires no prior coding experience.
Founded Build School
Emma recently founded Build School, which is launching its first program in March 2021. Their mission is to help young entrepreneurs build and launch their first business ideas using 'no code' Tools. They offer a fast, no-funding and no-technical skills-needed program to build and launch ventures.
Facilitated Gender Discrimination Workshop
Jemima launched a new workshop for International Women's Day in partnership with The Fawcett Society & the #EthnicityPayGap campaign to upskill and educate participants about why gender equality is a great benefit to businesses and steps they can take to achieve a more equal workplace.
Hult Prize Judge
Hult Prize HIT-K welcomed Radhika as a judge for their recent event.
Radhika is the co-founder of the non-profit organisation Every Infant Matters, which provides last-mile health solutions to disadvantaged children.

Joined UNHCR Team
Arash recently joined the UNHCR HQ Higher Education Team in Copenhagen to continue his work on Refugee Higher Education.

Sinead and Michael co-hosted a #FinBiz2030 Ireland Taskforce meeting. #FinBiz2030 is a joint initiative between One Young World and Chartered Accountants Worldwide which aims to establish an active and engaged finance and business community globally that is dedicated to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
Announced Young Entrepreneurs Challenge Winner
Founded by OYW Ambassador Hayden Taylor, The Verizon/Unloc Young Entrepreneurs Challenge announced its 2020 winner. The Challenge is an annual online tech-entrepreneurship competition for young people across Europe who compete for the competition’s £10,000 Grand Prize, which also includes funding, mentorship and a technology package. OYW Co-Founder Kate Robertson was of the Grand Final judges.
LGBTQ+ History Month Feature
Pete was given the opportunity to share their thoughts on the importance of understanding LGBTQ+ history with their Deloitte UK Audit & Assurance colleagues.

Elvis' blog on promoting diversity has been published on Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting's website. The piece is titled 'Flourishing as a Minority in Higher Education' and featured Elvis' key learnings on how he navigated his way as an underrepresented minority in higher education.
Launched Government-Backed Initiative
After being part of a Government-Startup collaboration accelerator program, TeachSurfing - co-founded by Miganoush - won the competition to collaborate with the Armenian Government in building a matching platform to connect 7.5 million diaspora Armenians with opportunities and networks in Armenia.
Covid-19 Response Project: Call for Volunteers
Virufy, founded by Amil, is a non-profit organisation that is developing AI technology to screen for Covid-19 from cough patterns. They are currently seeking volunteers for several key roles within the organisation.

Last month Siddhant Sarang launched Dharti Maiya, the world's first Bhojpuri podcast. The podcast is themed around climate change and the first episode featured Dr Atul Aditya Pandey, Head of Geology, Patna Science College.
