Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau welcoming One Young World Counsellors including Kofi Annan and Emma Watson and One Young World delegates from every sector at the opening ceremony of the One Young World Summit 2016.
At the One Young World Summit, the best young leaders, counselled by the world’s most influential business, political and humanitarian leaders, formulate and share innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing issues. Apart from the Olympic Games, no youth dominated event represents as many countries.
Following the Summit delegates become One Young World Ambassadors and return from the Summit with the means and motivation to make a difference in their communities and corporations. Ambassadors lend the power of the network of over 8,000 young leaders to the initiatives they are already running, or the new ventures they will start.
The 2017 Summit will be held in Bogota, Colombia. In this emerging city, the overarching theme will be reconciliation and the role young leaders from all sectors can play in propagating peace.
One Young World relies on the support of a wide network of partners and supporters to ensure that young leaders from around the world can participate in the Summit and join the Ambassador network.
How to become a partner
One Young World partners and supporters range from multinational companies and foundations to individual philanthropists.
Many partners send their most talented young employees to the Summit, recognising the event as a proven talent development platform and unparalleled networking opportunity for their most talented young leaders. Others support delegates from charity partners or fund One Young World administered scholarships as a means of working towards their sustainability and responsibility commitments. Others still combine these two approaches to support delegations that connect the best young leaders from their organisations with independent activists, innovators and changemakers, thereby creating powerful vehicles for peer to peer learning and collaboration.
